UST Permit Review
The State Water Board Evaluation staff reviews the CUPA's UST Operating Permit, as part of the UPFP, to identify inconsistencies with UST Regulations and HSC. The State Water Board has provided a UST Permit to Operate Template and can be seen below.
Common issues found on CUPA's UST Operating Permit:
- Incorrect UST Regulations and HSC cited
- Inaccurate permit conditions cited
- Examples:
- Paper/physical copy of permit and conditions must be readily accessible at the facility
- Report any unauthorized release
- Permit cannot be transferred to another owner/operator
- UST permit is subject to suspension
- Notify CUPA within 30 days after any changes in the usage of any UST
- Examples:
- Permit expiration exceeds 60 months
