Local Ordinances - What is the State Water Board Evaluation staff reviewing now?

As part of the evaluation process, the State Water Board Evaluation staff will review the CUPA's local ordinance for the UST Program. If a local ordinance review is requested outside of the performance evaluation window, it will be completed in the order received. CUPAs should ensure their local ordinances are fully aligned with HSC 6.7 and UST Regulations. Any local ordinances that are less stringent or inconsistent must be rescinded immediately.

The CUPA must obtain State Water Board approval prior to adopting and enforcing any additional design or construction standards beyond those established in HSC 6.7 and UST Regulations (Articles 4, 5, and 6).
